International Dairy Queen Opens First Location in Poland
World’s favorite quick service restaurant and treat leader expands
into Europe
MINNEAPOLIS–(BUSINESS WIRE)–The Dairy Queen® system, part of Berkshire
Hathaway (NYSE: BRK.A and BRK.B), has opened a new DQ® Treat
store at Wola Park Mall in Warszawa, Poland. The opening of this
location in Poland represents the 28th country outside of the U.S. and
Canada with a DQ brand presence.
Sparrow 4 Sp. Z.O.O. has entered into a long-term franchise agreement
with International Dairy Queen and plans to develop 26 DQ Grill &
Chill® restaurants and DQ Treat stores
throughout Poland over the next five years.

The new store offers DQ signature treats and beverages made with DQ’s
world famous soft serve ice cream as well as the iconic Blizzard®
Treat that is served upside down or it’s free, cones, sundaes, shakes
and smoothies and another fan favorite, DQ Cakes. In addition to
the full line of treat offerings, DQ will also feature the new
delicious signature Ciabatta sandwiches.
In addition to the this location, Sparrow 4 Sp. Z.O.O. plans to open two
additional locations before the end of the year including a DQ Grill
& Chill restaurant at the Wola Park Mall.
The opening of this DQ Treat location in
Poland follows the DQ brand’s recent openings over the summer in
Kuwait and the United Arab Emirates.
