Jack in the Box® Raises $35,000 for Seattle Children’s Hospital

Funds were raised from sales of $1 Seattle Mariners decals and a
donation match from Jack in the Box

SAN DIEGO–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Thanks to the undeniable generosity of the Western Washington community,
Jack in the Box® has raised $35,000 for the Seattle Children’s Hospital.
Throughout July and August, Washingtonians showed their support by
purchasing thousands of $1 Seattle Mariners decals at more than 100
participating Jack in the Box restaurants in Western Washington.

In addition to $16,732 raised by the sale of decals in restaurants,
local Jack in the Box franchise owners matched net proceeds from the
fundraiser and donated an additional $18,268. All proceeds will benefit
Seattle Children’s in support of its mission to prevent, treat and
eliminate pediatric diseases.

“We were overwhelmed and humbled by our guests’ willingness to donate to
such an important medical institution,” said Kristin Pirkle, Jack in the
Box Regional Marketing Manager. “This campaign shows how a little can go
a long way. Our thanks to the thousands of guests who donated to help
Seattle Children’s support the Pacific Northwest community.”

Jack in the Box will present a check to the Seattle Children’s Hospital
on Wednesday, September 2, during a private ceremony at a Jack in the
Box downtown restaurant. Patients and families who have benefited from
receiving care at the Seattle Children’s Hospital are expected to be in
attendance, along with representatives from Jack in the Box, Seattle
Children’s and the Seattle Mariners.

The good news for the local community doesn’t stop there! Any time the
Seattle Mariners win a home game this season, fans can visit any
participating Jack in the Box restaurant in Western Washington to
receive a FREE Jumbo Jack® with any purchase. This promotion is only
valid the day after the Mariners win a home game. All fans have to do is
mention “Mariners” to the cashier to receive their free Jumbo Jack with
purchase.
