Southern California IKEA stores Host Career ‘Meet and Greet’ Hiring Event on April 7

Aims to hire over 2,000 hourly co-workers

LOS ANGELES–(BUSINESS WIRE)–#Career–IKEA Burbank, Carson, Costa Mesa, Covina and San Diego announced today
that they will each host a ‘Career Meet and Greet’ hiring event on
Thursday, April 7 at the respective IKEA stores from 6-8:00 pm. The
event is geared towards hiring at least 10 co-workers in each location
including positions in sales, customer relations, food and logistics.

Through these ‘Meet and Greet’ hiring events, which are happening in all
41 IKEA U.S. stores and four distribution centers, candidates will have
the opportunity to meet with managers to find out what it’s like to work
for a company listed on the 2016 FORTUNE 100 Best Companies to Work For®
list and to participate in informal interviews with hiring managers. If
they’re a good fit for the position and IKEA– they’ll be called back for
formal interviews the following week.

IKEA U.S. is hosting these first-ever national ‘Meet and Greet’ hiring
events with the goal of hiring over an additional 2,000 hourly
co-workers in its U.S. stores and distribution service locations.

“We’re looking for applicants who are seeking promising careers in
retail and who have a passion for home furnishings. We believe that
every position is crucial at IKEA,” said Jeff O’Shaughnessy, store
manager of IKEA Burbank.
