VOKE Lands Leading Sports Media and Technology Exec Jeff Jonas

Former Sportvision Executive Vice President & GM Lured By VOKE’s
Ability to Change How Fans Experience Sports Events and Music
Entertainment

SANTA CLARA, Calif.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–VOKE, an industry leader in bringing live-event virtual reality
immersive experiences to sports and music fans, has announced that
long-time Sportvision executive, Jeff Jonas, Ph.D., has joined the
company in the role of Chief Commercial Officer (CCO). As CCO, Jonas
will be responsible for developing VOKE’s integrated commercial
strategy, driving business growth and building the organization.

Jonas is an eight-time Emmy award winner and has been an influential
leader in the sports media and technology field for the past 20 years.
While at Sportvision, he brought a variety of sports technological
advancements to market, including the yellow First and 10 line in
football, K-Zone in baseball, and Race f/x in NASCAR. His creative
vision and strong business acumen led to his nomination for the
prestigious Street & Smith’s Forty under 40 award.

VOKE’s media platform utilizes a set of synchronized 180°/360°
stereoscopic panoramic camera systems. Each individual panoramic system
allows fans to be immersed in live action and look at what interests
them individually. In addition, the rich personalized experience is
further enhanced by allowing fans, at will, to move seamlessly from one
choice location in the stadium or arena to another.

“Jeff Jonas is one of the top minds in the sports media and technology
field,” said Dr. S. (Jay) Jayaram, VOKE’s co-founder and CEO. “Jeff is a
visionary with outstanding commercial strategy and business development
experience. His track record of success in innovatively taking
technological breakthroughs to market is a tremendous asset to the
company as we work on developing strategic partnerships and markets. His
unique combination of technical knowledge and strong business and
marketing skills is just what we were looking for to lead our company’s
growth moving forward.”

Jonas said he believes live-event virtual reality fan experiences are
the future of sports and entertainment and he thinks VOKE is ideally
positioned to lead the growth of technological advancements in this area.

“VOKE’s multi-dimensional virtual reality platform really caught my
attention,” said Jonas. “VOKE’s versatile platform simultaneously
produces a stereoscopic real-time VR feed and a live 2D immersive feed
for mobile phones and tablets. As a result, VOKE is able to seed the
growth of VR, engaging early-adopters who already own VR headsets, as
well as current mobile and tablet users. We are driving them to VR with
compelling, user-controlled content. That’s exciting and unique. And I’m
convinced our approach will be highly successful and change the face of
sports and entertainment.”

VOKE is developing a new paradigm at the point where virtual reality
intersects with live sports and music entertainment. The company’s
products and services are creating opportunities for leagues, teams and
music artists to redefine the fan experience, especially for younger
audiences excited by cutting-edge technology in media.

As initial steps in the company’s aggressive growth strategy, VOKE
recently completed multi-faceted strategic partnerships with the NFL’s
Jacksonville Jaguars and the NBA’s Sacramento Kings.
