Is Chiquis Rivera a hypocrite for singing to Virgin of Guadalupe?
Chiquis Rivera is being called out on social media for singing to the Virgin of Guadalupe this month at the Univision special “Las Mañanitas a la Virgen de Guadalupe” event that was transmitted from Chicago. An emotional Rivera sang a Banda version of Rocio Durcal’s “Amor Eterno” (Eternal Love), telling viewers that she chose this song because it reminded her of her late mother. In Mexico this is one of the most important holidays of the year because Our Lady of Guadalupe is the patron saint of Mexico. “It’s the first time I sing to the virgin, with a lot of love.. because she represents a mother, and I’m singing to her with lots of love and respect,” she added.
