New ThermiVA for Vaginal Rejuvenation Debuts at Marina Plastic Surgery

MARINA DEL REY, Calif.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Grant Stevens, M.D., FACS, a board certified plastic surgeon, founder
and medical director of Marina
Plastic Surgery
(MPSA) in Marina del Rey, CA, and an international
traveling professor, is offering patients an exclusive vulvovaginal
rejuvenation procedure using non-invasive transcutaneous temperature
controlled radiofrequency. Called ThermiVA, the device gently heats
tissue so that women can reclaim, restore and revive feminine wellness
without anesthesia, discomfort or downtime. The patented ThermiVa
electrode is designed to treat the internal and external anatomical
features of the vagina. It generally is done three times, a month apart.

According to Dr. Stevens, “Women have a variety of reasons to have a
vaginal rejuvenation procedure, but many have put it off because they
did not want to have surgery.” He says that the procedure is indicated
for women who have had a vaginal delivery, trouble reaching orgasm, feel
embarrassed to wear tight jeans or exercise pants, experience urinary
incontinence, urgency or frequency or a loss of desire for sexual
relations, among other reasons. “This procedure offers a comfortable
outpatient experience,” he said. He added that excessive stretching of
the vaginal muscles is a common occurrence after vaginal birth or due to
aging. Damage can diminish sensation during sexual activity, reduce
satisfaction and change the relationship between partners. After a
consultation, MPSA ThermiVa expert Jennifer Tinelli, NP, will perform
the outpatient procedure and track the client’s progress.

Dr. Stevens is the Chairman of the USC-Marina Aesthetic Surgery
Fellowship and the Director of the USC Division of Aesthetic Surgery. He
is a Clinical Professor of Surgery at the USC Keck School of Medicine,
Division of Plastic Surgery. He is a board certified Diplomate of the
American Board of Plastic Surgery, a Fellow of the American College of
Surgeons and the International College of Surgeons. Dr. Stevens is on
the Board of Directors of the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic
Surgery and the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery where
he serves as one of the International Traveling Professors
