Naya Rivera admits that showering daily is not her thing

Naya Rivera’s name quickly escalated the trending topics of the day on social media Wednesday after openly admitting that she’s not a shower freak. SEE ALSO: Is Naya Rivera right about her ‘showering too often’ theory? During her visit to “The View” morning show, where she’d been invited as a guest host, the “Glee” star revealed private information on her hygiene habits and an interesting theory about showering. “I think that white people shower a lot more than ethnic,” Rivera said to Nicolle Wallace after saying she showered three times a day.  “I feel like showering more than once a day or every day is such a white people thing,” she continued as the other hosts and viewers broke out in laughter.  One African-American woman in the audience insisted she showered frequently. To her defense, Rivera also added: “My mom is half black, half Puerto Rican. She showers every day, so I can say this. But I’m now married to a white man,” she said of her husband Ryan Dorsey to whom she secretly married in 2014.  She stated that her husband, who is a West Virginia native, “showers a lot, like two, three times a day.” During the debate, Rivera emphasized that although she doesn’t shower daily, her bathing habits are “spot-on.” “A study says you are only supposed to shower once or twice every three days, so I’m right on the mark,” she explained. We’re not sure what the Latina actress was trying to imply by saying that showering was a “white people thing,” but the racial and ignorant comment caused many upset reactions on Twitter.
