“Romeo always wanted to help Latino women to feel secure about their bodies, telling them they are beautiful no matter what size they are,” Barreto-Leyva said in a statement. “And that exactly is the main goal and purpose of my job and life mission, what started my career 20 years ago,” she added.
The model emphasized that a collaboration or project between the two talents would be an epic combination.
“We are both history makers, giving a powerful and necessary message. Latino plus size women has been terribly portrayed in the media and psychologically abused by it. We need to reclaim her and give a good example. The impact of this duet would be sensational and brilliant!”
The guapa Jennifer is also Editor in Chief of Belleza XL Magazine, Miss Universe Plus 2007, and currently the only Latina competing for the crown of Miss World Plus with the possibility to win a Guinness record.
