Hilton Hotels ready for the biggest expansion in Latin America

Hilton will develop the biggest expansion in Latin America with the opening of eight new Hampton properties in Peru and Chile in the early months of 2018 joining the brand’s new hotels recently opened in Colombia.

The agreement is a continuation of the partnership between Hilton Worldwide and Colombia-based Metro Hotels, which last month opened Hampton by Hilton Cali, Colombia.

Hilton Worldwide will develop the biggest expansion in Latin American with two hotels in the new agreement. The Hotels are expected to open in the early months of 2018 in Lima and Santiago, these hotels will join the brand’s recently open hotels in Cartagena, Barranquilla, and Cali.

Metro Hotels has three additional Hampton hotels in the pipeline throughout Colombia in: Valledupar, Yopal, & Bogota –Usaquen all slated to open in 2015. The company is actively working to add three more hotels to the pipeline in Bucaramanga, Medellin and another in Bogota.

“Our intention is to continue our growth strategy in Latin American countries with stable and healthy economies, and position Hampton by Hilton as the most important brand for business travelers in the biggest and intermediate cities,” said Felipe Galeano, development manager, Metro Hotels.

The announcement complements the recent opening of Hampton by Hilton by Hilton Cali, showcasing the continuous interest in developing in the region. Located in Santa Teresita, in the West of Cali, the hotel overlooks the Rio Cali and is surrounded by several dining options. The 105 rooms feature free Wi-Fi, 32-inch HDTV, a mini-refrigerator and modern amenities.

Currently, Hilton Worldwide has a portfolio of six hotels in Colombia, three in Peru and one in Chile and it will continue to expand with 60 hotels in the pipeline throughout the region.
