Pro Boxer Peter Kid Chocolate Quillin says Adriana Lima could beat Gisele Bundchen in a fight, and it all has to do with her workouts, technique and fitness routine.
Gisele Bundchen has recently been getting a lot of publicity for a new commercial in which she displays her boxing skills. The supermodel is one of many who use boxing as a part of their fitness routine, and while Gisele appears to be a force to be reckoned with in the ad, Quillin says he’d still put his money on a different model who boxes?Adriana Lima.

Seeing [Adriana] hit the pads, I expect her to do better in the ring than Gisele, he told TMZ. Her six-pack was on point!
Lima has been implementing boxing into her fitness routine for 10 years and attributes her bikini body to the intense workouts and a low-carb Paleo diet. For the last decade, the supermodel has been training with former middleweight boxing champion, Michael Olajide, who puts her through pad work and shadow boxing routines to burn upwards of 1000 calories a session.
The workout, combined with a diet of high-quality proteins like grilled meat and chicken and low-sugar fruits like blueberries and blackberries, has given Lima her chiseled look but also put her in the best shape of her life.
“I always like to eat healthy, said Adriana. Im a mom, I have two kids, so I have to set a great example. But I am also Brazilian so theres a lot of Brazilian food involved too.
Boxing fitness not to be mistaken for boxing training
While there’s little doubt Lima or Bundchen?or anyone else who has taken boxing classes for ten years?could defend themselves if need be, the training involved with fitness still differs from that related to actual competition boxing.
World boxing champion Holly Holm is a perfect example of how fitness boxing workouts differ from boxing workouts. Holly’s routine, which she does at least 6 out of 7 days a week, includes active sparring, sprints, distance running, mitt work, strength training, wrestling , and grappling, according to Chat Sports.
Competative boxing training is about power, strength, speed, and endurance. While Lima and other models are working out to stay in lean shape, Holm and other boxing athletes are working to develop power in their punches as well as perfect timing and footwork. Eating healthy is essential, but boxing competitors eat to fuel their muscles rather than keep off extra pounds. In many cases, a boxing athlete must take in extra calories to ensure they aren’t losing muscle mass through rigorous training.

Boxing, however, whether done for competition or for fitness will get an individual into top condition. Though it appears to be a sport primarily done with the arms, boxing–when done correctly–works every part of the body. Core strength is essential, especially for fighters who use their core to power their shots rather than just their arms. Combine that with the lower body strength required to be fluid in the ring and you have an unbeatable fitness routine.
