Following a wave of rumors that the late Jenni Rivera’s widower has filed a lawsuit of $35 million for his loneliness, Chiquis Rivera has expressed her discontent on the situation.

“Legally, I know he has a right. And I don’t know if it’s true, but if it is, it makes me a little bit sad,” Rivera opened up on “El Gordo y La Flaca.”

The former baseball pitcher and widower of the late banda songstress, is suing Starwood Management and Rodatz Financial –the owners of the plane that crashed and killed Rivera and six others on December 2012.

Chiquis Rivera will talke about Esteban Loaiza in book.

Jenni filed for divorce from the athlete over two months before her tragic passing in 2012. The twist, however, is that the paperwork was never finalized when she died and legally, they remained married.

Now, Loaiza is asking the company for $25 million in lost future income, $5 million in past earnings and $5 million in loss of companionship, reports TMZ.

Chiquis is heartbroken with the act, describing it as “bad taste.”

“My siblings are not only without a mom, they are also without a dad. That belongs to them. I don’t care how much they get, but the most important thing won’t come back, which is my mom,” she said. “That money belongs to her children. It seems in bad taste what he is doing.”

Though the 29-year-old and her siblings use to live with their aunt Rosie Rivera, she admitted to having legal custody of her brothers and sisters.

“She moved a few months ago, and now I am in charge of the children. I have custody because I asked for it from my aunt.”

The lawsuit is yet to settle, but on lighter news, Chiquis is pumped about the second season of her reality show “Chiquis Confidential.”

The show, which premiered online earlier this week, focuses on her music career and most importantly the recording of her first album, which will include new songs in English and Spanish.
