Mariah Carey announced that she’ll be doing a residency at Sin City’s Caesars Palace. The diva made the exciting announcement to have an act in Las Vegas in a pre-recorded interview on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, which airs Thursday. It was also reported Carey will be filling in for Celine Dion – who postponed her shows at Caesars Palace last August to care for her husband. The singer opened up to her fans about her new project in the interview. “And again, I have to hope that the fans will enjoy this cause I’m gonna be performing, which was kind of inspired by my album Number 1’s, and this is now the updated version with 18 of them. Hopefully other people will enjoy this. I’ve never done this before,” Carey added, “It’s a new chapter for me and I’m just excited about it,” the singer said about the upcoming performances. Carey’s announcement came after she was criticized for her vocal performance during her recent tour but it seems like that didn’t stop mimi’s career. Vegas baby!!!
