What’s going down at the 2015 Premio Lo Nuestro?

It’s off to a great awards season with the Golden Globes and GRAMMYs, now the glitz and glam heads to Miami, Fla. where the hottest Latino stars will unite at the 27th Annual Premio Lo Nuestro.

The star-studded event is America’s longest running and most popular Latin music award show. As tradition holds, Premio Lo Nuestro recognizes excellence in four musical genres within the Latin music industry: Pop, Tropical, Regional Mexican, and Urban.

With the 2015 edition literally around the corner, here’s what to expect at Premio Lo Nuestro airing Thursday Feb. 19 on Univision.

The hosts of the evening will be TV personality Galilea Montijo and actor Cristian de la Fuente. The confirmed line-up of performers is as followed:

  • Mexican Regional music band, Calibre 50
  • Mexican pop group, Camila
  • Latin music’s leading new Urban star, J Balvin
  • Colombian music superstar Juanes, performing his new single “Juntos”
  • Tropical music legend Juan Luis Guerra will perform his hit “Tus Besos”
  • Maná, returning to the stage after more than four year absence to premiere their highly anticipated single “Mi Verdad” featuring Shakira
  • International superstar Marco Antonio Solís, who has five nominations in the Pop category
  • First time nominee Pablo Alborán with his hit “Por Fin”
  • Urban sensation Sean Paul
  • Thalía, who will take the stage with Becky G debuting “Como Tú No Hay Dos”
  • Salsa sensation Victor Manuelle, performing “Que Suenen los Tambores” and nominated for “Artista Salsa del Año” in the tropical category
  • Wisin, nominated for the first time as a soloist
  • Chiquis, who is nominated for the first time in the Regional Mexican Female Artist of the Year category
  • Talented urban artist Farruko, who will perform his super hit “Passion Wine”
  • “Bachata King” Romeo Santos, debuting his single “Yo También” featuring salsa phenomenon Marc Anthony, who will also sing his headline-grabbing “Flor Pálida”
  • Ricky Martin, with a world premiere performance of his new single, “Disparo al Corazón,” from his highly anticipated new album “A Quien Quiera Escuchar
  • Gerardo Ortiz, who has six nominations
  • Prince Royce, unveiling a special Spanglish version of his crossover hit song “Stuck on a Feeling”
  • “Mr. Worldwide,” Pitbull who will hit the stage with the opening act alongside new sensation Gente de Zona.

I don’t know about you, but I’m in it for the mini showcase rather than who will actually nab an award.

“Without a doubt, this is one of the most impressive lineups of top artists ever in the history of ‘Premio Lo Nuestro,’” said Alberto Ciurana, president, Programming and Content, Univision Communications Inc. in a statement.  “Our viewers are in for another unforgettable evening of the best in Latin music and star-studded entertainment.”

In addition to the performers, the ceremony will honor Laura Pausini for her successful career of more than 20 years with the “Premio a la Trayectoria Musical.”

Ricardo Arjona will also get a special recognition with the prestige “Premio a la Excelencia” award.

The fiesta will begin at 7 p.m. ET/PT on Thursday with the live pre-show special, “Noche de Estrellas,” offering viewers exclusive coverage of every exciting moment of celebrity arrivals on the red carpet.

The beloved Chiquinquirá Delgado, along with Univision’s Tony Dandrades, Raúl de Molina, and Rodner Figueroa, will serve as hosts on the Premio Lo Nuestro carpet.  In addition, Mexican singer and actress Maite Perroni will join the Univision team as a carpet and social media host during the ceremony.
