We’ve kept our eye on Cristian Castro since his 2014 photo ‘masajito con saiote’ went viral, but strangely enough, the Mexican singer has kept it classy and decent ever since. In fact, he’s just been making music…nothing too crazy.
Ever since the last week of February, Castro has been hyped with his new collaboration on Aleks Syntek’s single “Tan Cerquita.” He shared a 40-second long video singing a snippet of the song to his over 415K followers.

“#?TanCerquita? from Aleks Syntek premieres March 2nd,” he noted in Spanish. As Monday rolled around, the romantic crooner unveiled another video.
“Aleks, I want to thank you for the invitation to record ‘Tan Cerquita,’ I love the song, it’s very much like my style and a sound I’m very familiarized with. You’re a great colleague and people truly love you, like myself, I admire you, I’ve always wanted to work with you and meet your family and get to know your work style, which I loved. I wish this song a lot of success and hope that we can do many more,” he said to Syntek in a personal shout out.
Syntek, who celebrates 25 years of music with his album “Romantico Desliz,” compared his single with Castro’s 1992 hit “No Podras.”
“The song ‘Tan Cerquita’ has a similar spirit with the song [No Podras], especially in the aesthetics and freshness it brings to the radio nowadays,” Syntek said to Notimex.
Besides their great musical chemistry, word on the street is that both Mexican singers are planning a tour together.
“We get along great and most probably, just like Emmanuel and Mijares, we’ll do our own tour ‘Cristian and Syntek.’ And it’s most likely that we’ll do this tour soon,” Aleks noted, according to Radio Formula. “We’ll make the announcement with great excitement once we know the tour dates,” he added.
