Hooters flocks its way to Central America to add restaurants in Nicaragua and Honduras. And it’s kind of a big deal.

As if over 430 locations is not enough, the privately-held American restaurant chain known for its wings and scantily clad women has announced their new spots to be in the two neighboring Central American countries.

The company made the big reveal this week, stating that Nicaragua-based developer Luis Felipe Lacayo and his savvy team will join the growing list of international Hooters franchisees.

The plan is to open three new Hooters locations in Honduras and Nicaragua over the next three years, with the first one to launch late 2015 in Managua, Nicaragua.

“We are 100 percent committed to making Hooters a household name and resounding success in Nicaragua and Honduras,” said Lacayo’s wife Ana Marcela Miranda in the official press release.

“When it comes to well-equipped sports-viewing destinations in Nicaragua that cater to the entire family, we recognized a void that needed to be filled. In a country that absolutely loves sports, Hooters was a perfect match. We wanted to bring something different and exciting to the community here, and we believe both Nicaragua and Honduras markets to be primed and ideal for Hooters locations.”

While the plan develops, we’re pretty sure that this new addition in both countries will be of big joy for Nicaraguans and Hondurans. Let us explain why:

5 Reasons Hooters will be the new joint for Nicas and Catrachos

1) The Chicken Wings

Yes, the menu offers all-around, delicious American food –sandwiches, burgers, french fries and more. But their specialty? Chicken wings, hands down.

Sorry to break it to you fritanga and baleada lovers, but these wings will keep you coming back for more.

2) Latina Hooters Girls

The company is known for its sexy and playful wait staff, composed primarily of voluptuous young women. Now imagine a beautiful Latina in a “Hooter Girl” outfit? Bam!

Warning! If you plan to take your entire family for dinner, get ready to get an ear load from abuelita.

3) Tourists’ Paradise

Though tourists love visiting other countries to get away from their every day lifestyle, we’re pretty sure that having a Hooters nearby during their Central American visit will be of much joy.

Especially for expats in Nicaragua and Honduras who begin to get “home sick.”

4) Glimpse of American Culture

The restaurant can also serve as much excitement for residents, who can get a taste of the fun and vibrant American culture. From the food, to the beers, to the decor and the sports ambiance.

5) No more business”doppelgänger”
