Miles de tamales por una buena causa en San Diego

Un fotógrafo de San Diego quiso hacer algo especial por las personas que están solas, sin hogar y no tienen apenas alimento.

En estos días en los que más se nota que hay quien lo pasa mal, Abe Barron, un fotógrafo local de la costa californiana, alimentó a cientos de personas.

No lo hizo solo, él y un grupo de voluntarios de buen corazón donaron 850 tamales a los necesitados.

So Incase you haven’t heard or read .. I’m doing a project sort of mission called Xmas on the streets ... I do lots of work with the homeless and this year we wanted to do something special and bring Xmas to them .. the mission has gotten bigger and bigger by the day.. on of the things I wanted to do was have tamales to pass out my goal was to get 400 tamales to give out with every Xmas gift .. now tamales are very hard lots of hard labor and 400 was going to be pricey .. well @twoforksfarm sent me a message and said I will get a group together and we will do them all .. she reached out to @chefclaudiasandoval who is a world famous chef for help she came together with a group of men and woman taught them the history of tamales and how to make them this group with hearts to serve the community made 850 tamales that is right 850!!!! So insane beyond my expectations .. brought tears to my eyes but what touched me the most was they wanted to take the extra and give to the refugees across the border .. I do outreach with the refugees and lots of people are against helping them so when I heard this idea my heart swelled cause they need help too and this would be a big blessing ... thanks to everyone that showed up and helped these are 850 blessings !!! @steveatkinsonstuff @abc10news ... community coming together ... also French gourmet donated 400 sugar cookies to the mission !!! This is going to be epic ...

“En caso de que no hayas escuchado o leído, estoy haciendo una misión de proyecto llamada Navidad en las calles”, escribió Barron en Instagram.

“Trabajo mucho con las personas sin hogar y este año queríamos hacer algo especial y traerles la Navidad hasta ellos. La misión se ha hecho más y más grande cada día. Una de las cosas que quería hacer era tener tamales para repartir, mi el objetivo era conseguir 400 tamales para dar con cada regalo de Navidad.

Los tamales no son tan fáciles de cocinar, requieren de tiempo y el costo en esas cantidades puede llegar a ser elevado. Por suerte, hubo mucha gente que colaboró y se consiguió el reto.

Tamales por una buena causa, ¡para que nadie pase hambre esta Navidad ni se sienta solo o  rechazado!
