UBTECH Introduces AstroBot Kit at Toy Fair 2017

Company’s Most Diverse and Immersive Jimu Robot to Date to be
Showcased Alongside Complete Line of STEM-Friendly Robots

NEW YORK–(BUSINESS WIRE)–TOY FAIR 2017 – UBTECH
Robotics
, the company that created the cutting-edge Alpha Series of
humanoid robots, today announced the unveiling of its newest offering,
AstroBot Kit, at Toy Fair 2017. AstroBot Kit is the first Jimu Robot Kit
that builds three distinct form categories: humanoid, anthropomorphic
wheeled vehicle and treaded mobile robot with grab and lift action.
AstroBot Kit will be showcased alongside UBTECH’s line of STEM-friendly
Jimu Robots as part of Toy Fair 2017 at the Jacob K. Javits Convention
Center, Hall 1D 4801, February 18–21, 2017 in New York City.

AstroBot Kit furthers UBTECH’s commitment to STEM (Science, Engineering,
Math, Technology) learning with its most diverse and immersive Jimu
Robot experience to date. AstroBot Kit delivers an entertaining
space-themed backstory explaining where the robots came from and how the
humanoid and vehicle characters combine to create the treaded mobile
robot. In addition to its real robotics features including five servo
motors, tank treads and an IR sensor, AstroBot Kit has traditional toy
features not previously offered in Jimu Robots, such as two 16-color
LEDs and a speaker for lights and sounds to bring the characters to life.

“AstroBot Kit is the perfect example of how UBTECH is taking the
sophisticated technology of real robotics and introducing it to the pure
fun, open-ended play and educational value of toys,” said John Rhee,
General Manager, North America, UBTECH. “We’re excited to be at Toy Fair
2017 to introduce our Jimu Robot line to the toy industry as the next
generation of technology-driven play and STEM education.”

AstroBot Kit is ideal for both the home and educational sectors due to
its variety of building outcomes, as well as its use of sensors, lights
and sounds that extend and enhance the coding and play experience. The
Jimu Robot AstroBot Kit includes:

  • Jimu Interactive Robotic Parts
  • 5 Robotic Servo Motors
  • 2x 16 color LED Lights
  • 1 Infrared Sensor
  • 1 Speaker

  • 397 Pieces
