Wow! How does he do it? Marc Anthony recently swept all three Latin awards at the Billboard Music Awards this week, and nabbed 10 Billboard Latin Music Awards last month; this of course, is in result of his comeback salsa album “3.0,” which includes the hit song “Vivir Mi Vida”.
By all means, his success is undeniable, and the Puerto Rican star has the perfect tips to encourage other artists in the industry to follow his steps.

“I got smacked around early on, and it was hard, but to me it was part of the game,” Anthony told Men’s Fitness Magazine.

Anthony, whose road to success began in 1988, also added: “As blessed as I am, my heart goes out to any artist who has to do it on his own.”
In fact, the salsa singer admitted to have given career tips and business advice to Mr. 305 himself, Pitbull.
Also to crooner of Puerto Rican descent, Bruno Mars, who rang him on the eve of his Super Bowl half-time performance in February to pick up ideas.
“Be responsible,” is Anthony’s best advice to maintain in the music industry.
“Even when you lose, even if it’s a bad deal, keep your word, show up on time, and be professional,” he added.
The “Valio la Pena” singer emphasized, “even if you did a show and you could have made $500 and they pay you $50 and you’re pissed off, you gave your word, so you show up and let it be a lesson.”
In an intimate Q&A during the Billboard Latin Music Awards Conference last month, Marc Anthony recalled one of his first gigs.
“I was booked in Chicago for like $500 bucks, but I ended up with $200. I know it’s disgusting,” he laughed.
But that never stopped him and today he is one of the most reputed and respectable artists in the entertainment industry.
