It seems like movie directing is on the 35-year-old’s bucket list, who would love to direct thriller-packed films.
In fact, she’s already looked out for some inspiration. “I’m a fan of Tony Scott,” she told The Hollywood Reporter.

“It would be awesome if there was a female director who would do ‘Man on Fire’–type movies.”
Directing would be an easy task for the half Dominican and half Puerto Rican star, as she’s already producing films through a production company she formed with her sisters.
While we wait to see Saldana’s name as director in the next Blockbuster hit, fans can enjoy her in the upcoming action film “Guardians of the Galaxy.”
The Latina has gone from blue (in “Avatar”) to green with her new role as Gamora in the Marvel Comics superhero production set to release August 1st.
This will be the first time Saldana plays a superhero, a role she has considered doing in the past.
“Just for like a second when you’re in the shower going, ‘Wouldn’t it be nice to fly and have a cape?’ And then you forget it,” she told THR.
“And then all of a sudden they call you and say, ‘Wouldn’t it be nice to be green and in the Galaxy?’ And you go, ‘OK, I’ll do it.’”
Saldana will also star as pianist, singer and activist Nina Simone in the forthcoming biopic “Nina.”
As for now, she’s already on board with other Latina actresses who have taken the reigns behind the scenes such as Sofia Vergara, Jennifer Lopez, Eva Longoria, Penelope Cruz and Salma Hayek.
