Antonio Banderas and Melanie Griffith have been one of the most stable, loving couples in Hollywood for decades. But now, after almost 20 years together, their marriage may have fallen into a deep crisis.

During the recent Cannes Film Festival, the Spanish actor was repeatedly photographed with a beautiful young blonde. They’ve been spotted together at a party and sailing on a boat, always showing a loving and complicit attitude, but not so obvious as to ensure they are romantically involved.

During a brief trip to Madrid after the festival, paparazzi asked Banderas where Melanie was and why they haven’t been seen together lately.
This year, he traveled to Malaga to enjoy the Semana Santa festivities alone for the first time in years, while his wife had fun at the Coachella Festival in California with her girlfriends.
The actor did not evade the questions, but answered with a noncommittal, You’ll see us together.”

According to a source close to Griffith, the actress has seen the photos and is feeling deeply “furious” and “heartbroken.
She does not know what’s going on between her husband and that woman, but believes that the smiles and body language clearly indicates there is a lot of chemistry,” the source told the National Enquirer.
Rumors of marriage breakdown emerged a month ago when Griffith, who still presents herself on Twitter as Mrs. Antonio Banderas, tweeted a cryptic question: Who Believes in marriage and why? Or why not? Soon after, she retweeted a comment from a friend celebrating divorce and added the hashtag #HappilyDivorced.

March 13 was the last time the actress shared images of herself with Banderas. “Good morning all! Antonio and I have been on vacation for almost a week. It’s been heavenly! Why is it so hard to commit to a vacation?” she tweeted showing fun and idyllic images of the two aboard a yacht in the Bahamas.

Melanie has done her best to keep Antonio interested in her, but their marriage has already been under a lot of pressure lately and this latest incident is certainly not going to help, said the source of the latest goings on and the celebration of Easter. It could push things over the edge.
A happy marriage full of ups and downs
This is not the first time the couple has faced rumors of separation. Griffith and Banderas got married in 1996 after falling madly in love while filming the Spanish comedy Two Much.
Griffiths addiction to drugs and alcohol and the fact that the actress has always felt insecure because she is older than her sexy, coveted husband, have given rise to many crises that the couple has always endured together, making it clear that they had no intention of getting divorced.
Through overcoming so many difficult situations together, they seem united by a deep love, attraction and admiration. “I did not know she was so strong. It makes me love her even more because she fought like a lion and succeeded, which brought us even closer,” said Banderas to AARP magazine in 2011.
Only time will tell if one of the most attractive couples of Hollywood is set to choose different paths from here on.
