According to WebMD, severe altitude sickness can cause headaches, nausea, vomiting, dizziness, weakness, and interrupted sleep. It occurs when certain people reach an altitude of more than 8,000 feet and cannot get enough oxygen from the air. Considering the high Denver elevation, the illness is not a rare occurrence.

Gaga performed in Denver, Colorado on Aug. 6 and she is wrapping the North American leg of her tour in Seattle, Washington on Friday, Aug. 8.
