Bonnaroo Festival 2015: Let the music begin!
Disappointed with the 2015 Coachella lineup? If so, put your sorrows aside and start packing and get ready for Bonnaroo 2015, to take place in the middle of summer from June 11th to 14th. At Bonnaroo, the show goes on almost all night and you can also enjoy good food and the feeling of being in a farm or close to it, but surrounded by music, attractions and fun. The 2015 Bonnaroo Lineup Headliners at the festival include singer and pianist Billy Joel, British quartet Mumford & Sons, Canadas Deadmau5 and California-based 27-year old rapper Kendrick Lamar. Not only do the headlining acts give us a better feel of what to expect at the festival, but so does the list of other great performers invading the concert, such as Robert Plant, My Morning Jacket, Alabama Shakes, Florence + The Machine, Tycho, Tears for Fears, Flying Lotus and more. Bonnaroo takes place in the outskirts of Manchester, Tenn., on a 700-acre location. There are several ways to reach the facilities from close cities as well as possibilities for camping, including RVs. Activities during the festival include a parade, food trucks, cinema and much more. Children are welcome and tickets can be purchased by payments sort of lay-away system. Latino artists There are two Latino artists invited to perform at Bonnaroo this year: Chilean hip hop singer and composer Ana Tijoux and Detroits Jessica Hernandez & the Deltas. Ana Tijoux Ana Tijoux is already a well established artist and she became a constant presence around the U.S. She jumped to fame with the song 1977 the year she was born in France of Chilean political refuges parents. Tijouxs lyrics most of the time make social references while her music blends traditional hip hop with strings and some local Latin tunes. Tijoux also cooperates with other artists, producing a beautiful mix of tunes and languages, like with Shadia Mansour, Jorge Drexler and Julieta Venegas. Jessica Hernandez & The Deltas Jessica Hernandez & The Deltas is a Detroit-based band with a rich blend of rock with blues tones and, yes, some Latin touches. Jessica is the daughter of a Mexican mother and a Cuban father who studied fashion design and music. No wonder she goes both, designs her own clothes and creates her own music.
