Passion, pain, and rhythm are just a few of the sensations and emotions that will course through your veins as you experience a flamenco act up-close and in person; that’s how you will experience Ballet Flamenco La Rosa’s “Ritmo y Pasion” in Miami for its 30-year anniversary celebration.
Internationally acclaimed artists will take to the stage March 1st for a sold-out show of this original work in Miami. But don’t fear, another show has been added for later this month on Sunday, March 15th. Vocalist Salvador De Angela and guitarist Alex Jordan provide the lifeblood of rhythm that accompany dancers Jose Junco, Juan Sobrino, Maria Mercedes and Ilisa Rosal.

The beauty of these performances by Ballet Flamenco La Rosa is that they’re being held at the Black Box Theater of the Performing Arts Network (PAN). I’ve seen several flamenco shows by prestigious acts in great theaters, but nothing compares to being up-close with the dancers and musicians. This small and intimate dance studio setting is the way Flamenco was meant to be experienced. Every step the dancers take is felt, and each clap of the their hands can be felt in the soul.
As defined by the show’s producer, “With, its spectacular footwork, precise athleticism and vibrant energy, ‘Ritmo y Pasion‘ is at once sensual and spiritual, raw and refined, and filled with both restrained passion and electrifying release, making for a powerful and passionate production.”

“Ritmo y Pasion” reflects the collaborative efforts from Artistic Director Ilisa Rosal, with Spanish master teacher and choreographer Manolete.
