Dascha Polanco, known for her role as Dayanara Diaz on “Orange is the New Black,” has a new venture alongside some of Hollywood’s biggest names. They will be starring in a movie about a mop. Yes, a mop.
The Miracle Mop is a wonder of nature but whats the story behind this cleaning device? As it turns out, a struggling single mother on Long Island invented the magical cotton mop and went on to become one of the country’s most successful entrepreneurs.

Sounds amazing enough to warrant a multimillion dollar Hollywood movie? David O. Russell, the director of Three Kings and American Hustle, seems to think so.

At first, it seemed odd that a director who usually works with wartime, adventure movies, boxing dramas and crime-filled films is now working on a movie
well about a mop.
But Russell’s continued success as a director is a good indicator that this film will be one to see.
Goofy and lovable Jennifer Lawrence will be cast as Joy Mangano, the Long Island single mother who built a Home Shopping Network empire with her clever household doodads, according to Remezcla.
Lawrence and Russell have worked together on American Hustle, so casting her as the main role is no surprise.
This is where Dominican actress Dascha Polanco steps in. It was just announced that she will play Joys loyal BFF and business partner, Jackie.
Not only will Polanco get to star in a movie with Lawrence, she will also work alongside acting legend Robert De Niro and the handsome Bradley Cooper.
Twenty-fifteen seems to be a stunning and successful year for Polanco.
