Latino stars take over L.A. in first concert bash of the year
Los Angeles is off to an exciting new year with the forthcoming Calibash Festival featuring some of the hottest Latino stars in the biz. As tradition holds, the concert extravaganza will celebrate its seventh birthday with reputed artists. Kicking off the event this year are popular acts such as Carlos Vives, Don Omar, Pitbull, Tego Calderon and Plan B. Mexican DJ trio 3BallMTY are expected to make attendees dance with their Tribal-Guarachero and Latin House beats. “The lineup joins some of the most established Latin music acts with a strong representation of emerging artists who have become familiar names on the charts,” notes Billboard. The SBS Entertainment production will take place at Los Angeles’ Staples Center on January 24th, which was previously scheduled for Nov. 22, 2014. “SBS Entertainment continues the tradition of producing the most important Latin Urban music concert in the world and again, in association with AEG LIVE, Calibash 2015 in Los Angeles, California will certainly be the biggest Calibash yet,” stated Lucas Pina, Senior VP of SBS Entertainment, reports Latin Post. “SBS Entertainment consistently brings innovation and entertainment to the new generation of bilingual and bicultural Latino youth.” Daddy Yankee, Prince Royce, Alexis y Fido, Ivy Queen, Tito “El Bambino” and even Chris Brown, 50 Cent and LMFAO have all participated in Calibash Festival in the past.
